States tackles school milk wrangle
Milk generic
A question mark remains over who will pay for school milk
School milk and the question of which government committee - if any - should pay for it returns to the States this week.

The island's politicians also have the chance to raise questions about the recent report into Children's Services during Tuesday's sitting.

Deputy Geoff Southern has lodged a motion proposing the Economic Development Committee pick up the milk tab until 2005.

However, the committee is having none of it.

Before they move onto the milk motion, States Members have the chance to put three committee presidents on the spot over the recent critical report over Children's Services in Jersey.

Deputy Roy Le Herissier wants answers from the heads of Health, Education and Home Affairs regarding proposals to rectify mistakes highlighted by UK education inspector, Kathie Bull.
