Jersey route for airport
LeCocqs plane
The aircraft can only accommodate 15 passengers
A new air route from Bournemouth to Jersey has been opened.

LeCocqs, the company running the service, plans to run daily flights from 3 October.

It is Bournemouth's fourth daily route but the airport does not expect a dramatic rise in passenger numbers - the aircraft only has 15 seats.

LeCocqs was originally formed to carry vegetables from Jersey to the neighbouring Channel Island of Alderney.

Two Trislander aircraft, built on the Isle of Wight, will be used on the route.
