Calls for ban on pellet guns
Air gun - generic
There have been several incidents of pellets being fired at people
The grandmother of a 12-year old Guernsey boy is calling for pellet and BB guns to be banned in the island.

Her grandson was nearly injured when a pellet shattered the first layer of glass in his double-glazed bedroom window.

Janet described her grandson's narrow escape as lucky.

But she said something should be done to stop innocent people in Guernsey being mindlessly hurt.

"If the pellet had gone through the second layer of glass, it would have hit him on the head and that could have done some serious harm," she said.

It is the latest incident involving pellet guns in the island.

One woman, who wants to remain anonymous, was left bruised and scared after being shot at in an unprovoked attack while working in her garden.
