Michael Jackson film This Is It has topped the UK and Ireland cinema chart, box office figures show. The film, which documents the late singer's rehearsals for his planned series of 50 London concerts, took £4.9m over the weekend. Worldwide the movie has made $104m (£63.4m) in the five days since its release. Disney's animation Up was knocked off the top spot after three weeks, falling to number two. The stop-motion version of Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox remained at three, while horror sequel Saw VI fell two places to four in its second week of release. Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant also remained unchanged at five. There were three other new entries in the top 10 including animated sci-fi film 9 about a group of puppets fighting to the death with an army of exterminating machines at number seven. Coming-of-age tale An Education opened at eight - an achievement considering it was only screened at 93 venues across the UK and Ireland, taking an average £3,950 per cinema. For comparison, Fantastic Mr Fox took an average £3,199 per cinema across 483 sites. British gangster film Dead Man Running, featuring rapper 50 Cent, opened at 10.
