 Disney Pixar's Up also topped the US box office |
Disney Pixar's latest animation, Up, has held on to the top spot at the UK box office chart in its second week. The movie, about an old man who ties balloons to his house to make it airborne, took £5.2m in the last week. Vince Vaughan's comedy Couples Retreat, which has been poorly received by critics, was the highest new entry at number two. It took £1.3m. The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, starring the late Heath Ledger, was a new entry at number three. Dance re-make Fame was at number six, followed by another new entry, horror film Triangle, starring former Home and Away actress Melissa George. Halloween II dropped two places to number eight. Romantic drama Love Happens, starring Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart, fell from five to nine. Blue, a Bollywood movie starring Kylie Minogue, was a new entry at number 10.
