Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan will miss out on competing in the final of Dancing on Ice after being voted out of the ITV1 show.

The former singer found herself in the skate-off with investigative reporter Donal McIntyre after a public vote.

All five judges, who had earlier branded Nolan's routine "boring", chose to let her go.

McIntyre now joins singer Ray Quinn and former Liberty X star Jessica Taylor in next week's grand finale.

Afterwards, Nolan said: "It's been amazing working with Torvill and Dean. I've enjoyed it so much.

"I've tried it on with Chris so many times but he's not having any of it!"

The star made several trips to hospital last week after spraining a rib and lower back during training.

The show's judges were hardly sympathetic, and declared she had only remained in the competition due to the "John Sergeant factor".

"Obviously you're popular with the public, but we're in the semi finals now and we have to put people through who deserve it," noted Jason Gardiner after Nolan danced to Shania Tawin's Still The One.

Taylor and Quinn are hot favourites for the final - where they will get to perform their own versions of Torvill and Dean's famous Bolero routine.

Taylor's routine on Sunday was called "breathtaking" and "stylish" by judge Ruthie Henshall, while Quinn's "captured the Flamenco perfectly," Nicky Slater said.
