Former Blue Peter presenter Zoe Salmon has become the latest celebrity to be voted out of ITV1's Dancing on Ice.

The 28-year-old found herself in the skate-off with former Liberty X singer Jessica Taylor after the public vote, but the judges chose to save Taylor.

Salmon said the series had been "a rollercoaster of emotions".

The result put 43-year-old Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan in the semi-final next week, despite being in last place after the judges' scores.

Salmon was awarded 23.5 points and found herself in third place on the leader board after skating to Leona Lewis' hit song Run with her skating partner Matt Evers.

After being voted out, the star said she had "had a ball" and added: "Bring on the tour because I can't bear the void in my life."

Nolan injured her wrist mid-week but, after being taken to hospital for an X-ray and cleared by the show's physiotherapist, she said: "I don't want to give up."

Judge Robin Cousins told her it was the "best performance you've given in the competition so far" before adding: "It doesn't come close to the others but that's not the point."

Fellow judge Jason Gardiner said: "You've delivered the performance that I've been waiting for for quite some time."

Nolan will be joined in the semi-final with Taylor, investigative journalist Donal MacIntyre and 2006 X Factor runner-up Ray Quinn, who is tipped to win the show.
