Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett has become the latest celebrity to be voted off ITV's Dancing on Ice contest.

Pallett, who plays Jo Sugden in the soap opera, lost out in the skate-off to former Blue Peter host Zoe Salmon.

"It's been such a treat - an amazing experience," said the star. "I can't believe I made it this far."

The result leaves five famous faces in the competition, with former X Factor runner-up Ray Quinn considered the favourite to win the title.

Pallett ended up in the bottom two for the first time in the series.

Her rival Salmon found herself in the same position, despite being awarded full marks by judge Ruthie Henshall and finishing second on the leader board.

But in the crucial skate-off, the judges unanimously chose to save Zoe Salmon, but admitted that it had been a tough decision.

Jessica Taylor, Donal McIntyre and Colleen Nolan are the other celebrities who are still in the running.
