Wallace and Gromit creator Aardman Animations has been nominated for four British Animation Awards this year, it has been announced. They include a best children's series nod for Shaun The Sheep: Still Life.
Oscar-nominated musical Sweeney Todd is up for for best film and TV graphics while Salmon Dance by Chemical Brothers is nominated for best music video.
The winners will be announced on 13 March in a ceremony at London's National Film Theatre.
Haunted Hogmanay
Aardman receives two nominations for The Pearce Sisters - the tale of two lonely sisters who live by the sea - in the best short film and craft award categories.
The company is also nominated for The Peculiar Adventures of Hector in the new media category.
Actors Robert Lindsay, Jane Horrocks and Thick Of It star Peter Capaldi are all nominated in the new best character voice performance category.
Horrocks is nominated for Little Princess: I Want My Snail, Lindsay is up for The Technical Hitch and Capaldi gets the nod for Haunted Hogmanay.
Awards director Jayne Pilling said: "The mix of nominees for the 2008 awards reflects the diversity of the work that makes the UK such a powerhouse in the international animation scene."
March's ceremony will be hosted by TV comedian Joe Pasquale.
