The latest Wallace and Gromit outing is nominated for an Oscar |
Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit leads the nominations for the British Animation Awards with three nods, including best animated feature. Nick Park's film, which has been nominated for an Oscar, is up against fellow Oscar hopeful The Corpse Bride.
Two other animations from the Aardman stable, Creature Comforts and Angry Kid, have also received nominations.
The British Animation Awards ceremony will be held in London on 9 March at the Shaw Theatre.
Wallace and Gromit's latest outing recently dominated Hollywood's animation awards, the Annies, taking away nine prizes including best animated feature.
The film saw off competition from Academy Award rivals The Corpse Bride and Howl's Moving Castle.
Film fans will be given the chance to vote for their favourite animation at the British Awards in the Public Choice category.
Special screenings of contenders will be held at independent cinemas across the country until the end of the month.
