The White Stripes frontman Jack White has become a father to a baby girl. The 30-year-old singer and guitarist and his wife, model Karen Elson, who live in Tennessee, have named their first child Scarlett.
The US rock band's drummer Meg White acted as maid of honour at the couple's wedding in Brazil last June.
White was previously linked with film star Renee Zellweger. Elson, who began seeing White in 2004, appeared in The White Stripes' video for Blue Orchid.
White has recently formed a new band, The Raconteurs, who release their debut album later this month.
