US girl band the Pussycat Dolls have held on to the UK number one singles spot for a third week running.

The six-piece band held off US rapper Kanye West's song Gold Digger, which features vocals from Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx.

Franz Ferdinand entered at four with Do You Want To and Katie Melua was at five with Nine Million Bicycles.

David Gray remained top of the album chart, with new entries from Bon Jovi at two and Barbra Streisand at three.

In the singles chart, Sean Paul slipped one place to number three with We Be Burnin'.

American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, Stereophonics and Bob Marley's son Damian Jr had new entries in the top 20.

Barbra Streisand's return to the album chart with Guilty Too sees her once again team up with Bee Gees star Barry Gibb, who she recorded the original Guilty album with in 1980.

James Blunt's Return to Bedlam album fell one place to number four, 29 weeks after its release.

Former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown's greatest hits album, which features his solo material and tracks from his band days, was a new entry at number five.

Publicity surrounding the release helped the original Stone Roses 1989 debut album shoot up the chart from number 153 to 19.

Veteran acts Daniel O'Donnell, Queen and Status Quo also had new albums entering the top 20.
