TV talent show winners Girls Aloud have missed out on a second number one single after troubled singer R Kelly held on to the top spot for a second week. The girl group, who were formed on the ITV1 show Popstars: The Rivals, were expected to repeat the success of their Christmas number one but had to settle with second place with No Good Advice.
R Kelly, 36, is facing trial in the US on child pornography charges following allegations that he videotaped himself having sex with an underage girl in Illinois.
But his upcoming court appearance appear to have boosted his popularity as the single Ignition Remix has been a hit in both the UK and US.
