Girls Aloud attend tour manager's funeral
John McMahon died on Christmas Day
The chart-topping band Girls Aloud joined more than 100 mourners at the funeral of their tour manager John McMahon.

The 43-year-old died in a car crash near to his Staffordshire home on Christmas Day.

Mr McMahon's car ploughed into a hedge, before hitting a telegraph pole on the A5013 near Cresswell.

Girls Aloud were also joined by singer Craig David at the service, held at St Austin's Church in Stafford on Monday.

Mr McMahon was one of the team that helped the group reach the Christmas number one spot with their debut single, a position they still occupy.

The 43-year-old began working with Girls Aloud after viewers voted five successful female finalists from television talent show Popstars: The Rivals into the band.

During his career in the music industry, Mr McMahon also worked with Belinda Carlisle, Westlife and Boyzone.
