Jim Davidson
Davidson is being sued for 250,000
Comedian Jim Davidson is being sued by a former teacher who said she suffered back injuries after falling at a leisure complex he was running.

Retired deputy head Mary Kyne, 51, of Newcastle upon Tyne, said she fell at Wellington Pier Complex in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in 1999. Mr Davidson was leasing the complex at the time.

She filed a lawsuit for 250,000 at Norwich Crown Court on Monday

Ms Kyne said she suffered spinal damage and had to leave her teaching post two years later as a result.

The court heard Mr Davidson denied responsibility and would contest the action. A hearing is expected in October.
