Former public schoolboy Tim Culley is the latest housemate to be evicted from Channel 4's reality TV show Big Brother.

The 23-year-old's worst fears were confirmed as he received a chorus of boos from the crowd as he left the house.

"Don't worry, don't worry," said presenter Davina McCall as she greeted him.

Blowing ironic kisses to the crowd, and cocking his hands to his ears he seemed unsettled by the response, although he had told housemates he was expecting the worst.

In the post-eviction interview he said he had been "pretty terrified" about the reaction from the crowd.

"I had not been 100% myself so that is perhaps why I was not well received.

"I did not get into the whole thing as much as others."

Tim was the public's overwhelming choice for eviction with 1.5 million telephone votes, 81% of the total, leaving model Alex Sibley, 23, in the house.

Alex is one of four housemates left to compete for the �70,000 first prize.

Administrator Kate Lawler, 22, is currently tipped to win, with fireman Jonny Regan, 29, and Alex on slightly longer odds.

Jade Goody, who has been villified in the tabloid press, is the fourth person in the house.

The series is due to end next week leaving one housemate �70,000 richer, although another person could be evicted before next Friday to leave three to face the final public vote.

Odds on Jade, originally thought to be the least popular person in the house, have been cut from 14-1 to 4-1 to win.

If she does win, bookmakers are set to lose �500,000 - their biggest ever payout on a Big Brother winner.

A Ladbrokes spokesman said: "All we can hope is that something happens between now and next Friday that turns the tidal wave of support away from Jade.

"People are feeling sorry for her now because she seems to be getting picked on inside the house."

Launches

After the series ends, the Big Brother house is to be hired out for corporate events, the show's producers have confirmed.

Suggested uses for the house in Elstree, Hertfordshire include conferences, parties, training days and product launches.

Endemol UK, which produces the programme, said the house would remain available until next the next series of Big Brother begins.

"This is the first time that the house will have been used in this way," a spokeswoman said.
