Bankers 'need to join real world'

City Minister Lord Myners has launched a scathing attack on bankers, saying they need to come back into ''the real world''.

His comments come after the board of RBS threatened to quit if they were blocked from paying huge bonuses to their staff.

Lord Myners said that 5,000 bankers across the sector will get bonuses of more than £1m each in the New Year unless action is taken.
