Emiratis defend Dubai's creditworthiness

The president of the United Arab Emirates has said that the UAE's economy is in good shape, in a move to reassure investors.

This followed Dubai World's announcement that it wanted more time to pay off its debts, which led to turmoil in stock markets around the world.

But many Emiratis in Dubai feel the world's media and stock markets have over-reacted to the news.

The BBC's Malcolm Borthwick spoke to Ahmad Al Mansoori of Al Mansoori Enterprises (left) and Ashraf Abdul Hadi, chief executive of Bin Hadi Group.
