Siberian town silenced by downturn

One year after the global economic crisis first struck, Russia is still reeling from the impact.

Baikalsk, on the shores of Lake Baikal, is typical. When the local paper mill shut down it was the end of the line for the town, with people leaving in droves to find work.

The BBC's Richard Galpin met one man who has tried to retrain after losing his job.
