Japan's Sony Corporation has slashed the price of its Playstation 3 games console, cutting the price of the new PS3 by a quarter in the US, $100 less.
Sony made the announcement at the 2009 games convention 'gamescom', in Cologne, with games market experts expecting other console makers to follow suit with price cuts.
