Land Rover staff accept pay deal
Land Rover Discovery
Recent strikes crippled Land Rover production in the W Midlands
Workers at carmaker Land Rover have accepted a pay offer, ending the threat of further strikes, unions have said.

The Amicus union said members had voted 65% in favour of an offer worth about 6.5% over two years.

The decision, said by Amicus to be "great news", ends the threat of fresh walkouts at the firm's two West Midlands plants in Solihull and Gaydon.

Land Rover, owned by Ford, has been hit by two walkouts in recent weeks, which crippled production at the sites.
