Australia

A total of 70 Australians have been confirmed dead, and there are serious concerns that 20 or more who are still unaccounted for are also dead.

Brazil

One Brazilian is confirmed dead.

Britain

So far 21 Britons are confirmed to have died.

Among the dead are British expatriates living in Hong Kong and Singapore, including seven members of an amateur Hong Kong rugby team.

Canada

One Canadian died in Bali, another who was taken to Australia for treatment is also confirmed to be dead.

Denmark

Three Danes are confirmed dead.

Ecuador

One tourist is confirmed to be dead.

France

Three French nationals are confirmed to be dead.

Germany

Six Germans died in the explosion, others are still missing.

Indonesia

Thirteen Indonesians are known to have died, but that number is expected to increase significantly as more bodies are identified.

Italy

One Italian was killed.

Japan

Two Japanese died in the bombing.

The Netherlands

Two Dutch nationals died and others are still missing.

New Zealand

Two New Zealanders are confirmed dead. Others are missing.

Singapore

One person is confirmed dead.

South Africa

One person is confirmed dead, others are still missing.

One South African man has been transferred to an Australian hospital with severe burns.

South Korea

Two people are dead.

Sweden

Six Swedes are confirmed dead.

Switzerland

Three Swiss were killed in the attack.

Taiwan

At least one Taiwanese died.
