China has promised an "all-out" rescue mission after one of its cargo ships with 25 crew was hijacked by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean.
The De Xin Hai was seized on Monday about 1,100km (700 miles) east of the Somali coast, a sign the pirates have expanded the reach of their operations.
