Jason and Audrey Lumsden, from Fofar, believe it will be smaller towns like their own which will suffer when Woolworths goes.

Mr Lumsden said: "It's sad that they're closing but it's not a surprise because there's that much competition.

"We do a lot of shopping online and we can get it cheaper than from Woolworths."
