Richard Baillie, 52, from Edinburgh, who attached a Saltire to his wheelchair for the parade, said he had made a special trip to cheer on his Scottish heroes.

He said: "I am a very proud Scotsman today.

"I am here to see Chris Hoy as he has done very well at the Olympics."
