Jennifer McCluskey, Wellshot Primary School teacher, said the result meant everything to the children.

She said: "Hopefully we might see some former pupils in the Games, which would be great."

"It's just fabulous, hopefully the regeneration after the Games will be good for the east end of Glasgow."
