Much of Rhyl's promenade is being given a face-lift.

Work on the �3.8m Drift Park is running behind schedule and some traders said turning much of the promenade into a building site has hit profits this summer.

But the project is due to be completed in September.

It is hoped that the initiative will attract new visitors to the town.
