The prototype for the project, nick-named "Cool Robots", is able to pull substantial loads, consisting of people in this test run in Greenland, but potentially, in the Antarctic, of scientific equipment.

Research could be performed en route, or the robots could deliver self-standing experiments to locations throughout the continent.
