Melissa Burtt, whose daughter Tula was born shortly after 9/11, says she considered leaving New York.

She is Jewish and says she often wonders why many Jews chose to stay in Germany before the Holocaust.

But her reasons for staying in New York are clear: "I love that it is multi-lingual, multi-cultural. I wouldn't live anywhere else in America."
