Shazad Syed, 25, a sales manager from Brent Cross, said: "Increases in the price of oil should be curbed because it will affect the cost of other products.

"Surely the expense will have a knock-on effect because it will hit those who make deliveries and are therefore sensitive to prices.

"Fuel taxes should be reduced."
