When perestroika started, life became quite grim for me. For the last 20 years I�ve been feeling unsettled, uncomfortable and unprotected. For elderly people especially, this new life is a real disaster.

I think Gorbachev knew what was going to happen, but he cared little about ordinary people. He worked for his self-esteem only, or maybe for the CIA.
