I can't understand why the Greens won�t team up with the FDP and the CDU. It would give Mrs Merkel the majority she needs and ensure the Greens stay in government.

As a Green voter, I can't see why they feel so strongly that their programme is incompatible with that of the right. To me it seems a perfectly acceptable solution to this chaos.
