Frances de la Tour is best remembered for playing Miss Ruth Jones in Rising Damp.

She is now playing half-giantess Madame Maxime, who meets her soulmate in Hagrid.

De la Tour will next be seen in The History Boys, alongside Richard Griffiths, who played Uncle Vernon Dursley in the first three Potter films.
