The population of rural England has grown by more than 100,000 in the past year.

Diversification and new business attract still more, meaning house prices are rising faster in rural areas than in urban ones and sparking a scramble for homes that low-paid country workers cannot win.

As a result, rural homelessness has soared nearly 30% since 2002.
