Gibraltar is celebrating 300 years of British sovereignty. In 1704 Britain captured the Rock from Spain, with control formally ceded in 1713. For three centuries it has been the cause of continuing disputes between the two nations. To mark the tercentenary Gibraltarians took part in a host of events.
