A nurse at a Nashville hospital, Rose Widener is more concerned about employment law than security, but she does worry that it is lax.

"We need to crack down more on all the people we're letting into the country. Nobody gets their fingerprints taken. In this state you can get a [driver's] licence without a whole lot of identification."
