Scores of officers are probing the killing of 17-year-old Thomas Loughery in the city on Sunday.

The teenager, who was wearing a Celtic top, was injured in Shawbridge Street, near Netherauldhouse Road, Pollokshaws, at about 0130 BST.

He was taken to the city's Victoria Infirmary but died from his injuries.

Police have not ruled out a sectarian motive for the attack.

About 40 officers from Aitkenhead Road police station were working in a dedicated incident room on the case.

And more police in Pollokshaws are carrying out door-to-door inquiries near to where the teenager's body was found.

Detectives are trawling through digital CCTV footage from close to residential tower blocks beside Carey's pub.

The footage from more than 24 cameras around the housing scheme on Shawbridge Street shows views from inside and outside the blocks.

The pictures will help detectives corroborate statements taken from those who were inside Carey's pub on the night of the murder.

The digital footage was provided to the inquiry team by the Glasgow Housing Association (GHA), which runs the estate.

Det Chief Insp Willie Johnston said: "With assistance from the GHA we are currently in the process of reviewing CCTV footage within the Pollokshaws area."
