2020 World Service Recruitment Asia

BBC World Service’s Asia Region delivers content in Bangla, Burmese, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Nepali, Sinhala, Tamil, Urdu and Vietnamese.

Journalists are based in 10 bureaux across the continent providing accurate, impartial and independent news and information both regionally and internationally. We are on TV, radio and online, including a strong presence on social media, reaching millions of people in Asia every week.

As part of this expansion, we are launching new services in Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu and Korean.  We will also expand the BBC Thai service into a fully-fledged digital operation.

This investment in our Asia Region will transform the way our services in the region operate, turning it into a digitally-oriented production hub that will answer the demands of one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world.

The region is exciting, vibrant and bursting with news which we cover in our current-affairs output as well as a wide range of features across platforms, and we are looking for dynamic people to join us.

Working with us, you will have access to the BBC's training, and have the opportunities to work with award-winning journalists. If you are interested in becoming part of our team, view our current vacancies.
