![]() El Salvador Programme two visits El Salvador, where 75,000 died during 12 years of civil war between left-wing guerrillas and the US-backed government. Mike takes us with him as his revisits the north of the country, the scene of some of the worst fighting, and his wife’s family home. He meets former rebel fighters, some now in government, and asks whether they feel the war was worth fighting? He puts the same question to a man alleged to have backed right-wing death squads in the 80s.
