The price rises and falls will be tracked and contribute to the World Food Price Index.

Daniel Schweimler in Buenos Aires writes:
Inflation is a dirty word in Argentina - a country that suffers periodic economic crises, often prefaced with big price rises.
On the surface things have been looking good as the economy emerges from the last major catastrophe seven years ago. It's seen month on month growth, powered by high world commodity prices, especially for its soya.
The trouble is, few in Argentina believe the figures published by the government's own statistics office, the INDEC.
They say annual inflation is hovering at about nine percent. Independent economists, newspapers and shoppers however say it's much higher - up to 30%.
Going Shopping

The supermarket I go to is Carrefour, it is a huge chain and there is a broad range of customers. Carrefour has many agreements with the Government to keep certain prices frozen.
Carrefour also has a range of products which are usually cheaper than in other shops. It also has many promotions with banks, offering discounts if you buy using their specific bank card.
The graph
Lines not visible on the graph (bread and beef) are hidden behind the line for potatoes and have remained unchanged.
