Nigeria: heading for political crisis?

A senior opposition politician in Nigeria is taking the government to court in an attempt to remove the President from office.

For more than thirty days, President Umaru Yar'Adua has been seriously ill in hospital in Saudi Arabia. In his absence, questions have been asked about who is running the country.

Farouk Adamu Aliyu from the opposition All Nigeria's People's Party says:

'Nobody's in charge in Nigeria. But let them follow the law. Let them respect the Nigerian Constitution and act right. Nobody is telling us what is wrong with our President.'
