FM stations in Kenya

Meet the new presentation team on our three Kenyan FM stations - 93.9 FM in Nairobi, 88.2 FM in Kisumu and 93.9 FM in Mombassa.

Throughout the day, the team will guide listeners through the schedule, reminding audiences when they can hear the regular news bulletins, sports updates, in-depth documentaries, as well as flagging the major news programmes which are available in both Swahili and English.

Wazir Khamsin worked for KTN for several years as a reporter and presenter before joining the BBC’s East Africa Bureau in Nairobi four years ago.

Zainab Deen was brought up in Nairobi where she went to school until going to university in Uganda. She joined the BBC three years ago after working in both private and national media organisations.

Now she works for the BBC Swahili service in Nairobi. She loves covering health stories as along as they have a positive impact.

Kassim Kayira has been working for the BBC since 2005. He was born in Uganda to Rwandan and Ugandan parents and went on to study in both his home country as well as Kenya.

He speaks 12 languages including English, Arabic and Swahili, along with nine African languages. Before joining the BBC, he worked as the news anchor on TVR, the Rwandan government TV channel.

Bola Mosuro has worked for the BBC African Service since February 1992.

She has worked on Focus on Africa, Postmark Africa, Story of Africa and is now one of the anchors on Network Africa and has been for the past four years.
