Iraqi Contemporary Art

An exhibition of new contemporary art from Iraq has been thrown into turmoil by the failure of the artists to get visas for the opening of the show.

The first show in the UK for more than a decade at the Cornerhouse Gallery in Manchester, the work is a revealing look at a culture marked by conflict and war.

Mark Coles talks to co-curator Adalet Garmiany of ArtRole and one of the artists left behind in Iraq Falah Shakarchi.
