Now 87, Lucian Freud is one of the most important living artists in the world.
The exhibition at the Pompidou Centre marks the first time his work has been shown in France since his last retrospective in 1987.
It is composed of around fifty large sized paintings, as well as graphic works and photographs of the artist's London studio.
Harriett visited the exhibition and spoke to curator Cecile Debray.
