Samson and Delilah

It's been called one of the most important films to come out of Australia.

Samson and Delilah is an unconventional love story set in the isolated world of an Aboriginal community in the remote central Australian desert.

When the two teenagers are forced out of their community, they are thrown together by circumstance on a road trip to nowhere.

Faced with the challenges of poverty, violence, boredom, drugs and sexual abuse, they are almost crushed, but survive.

Director Warwick Thornton discusses why this was a story he needed to tell.
