One of Trinidad and Tobago's leading bands, Kes the Band performed a special set for the BBC World Service recently.
The band is known throughout the Caribbean diaspora for its energetic performances of soca and calypso at the major Caribbean carnivals around the world.
Kes the Band has always thought out of the box about their music and have created their own sound that is a blend of soulful vocals and calypso-inspired melodies, over a fusion of rock riffs and island beats.
