Most famed for constructing the elegant pop indie of The Boo Radleys (and, no, not just that one), Cardiff-based Martin Carr has been experimenting for years as Brave Captain.
Now solo under his proper name, Carr has gone back to a more radio-friendly summerpop sound with the album Ye Gods (And Little Fishes), released through his own label, Sonny Boy.

Ye Gods... was produced by Cardiff-based Charlie Francis, whose CV includes engineering the likes of REM and the High Llamas.
As the main songwriter of The Boo Radleys he was the force behind their position as stars of Alan McGee's Creation Records, their chart hits and NME front covers.

After their split in 1999, he was signed to the influential Wichita label as he delved into electronic jiggery-pokery with Brave Captain. Six albums followed.
Now self-releasing his debut solo album proper, Carr retains an indelible pop sense and song craftsmanship.
