Richard 'Fagin' Hepplewhite
No Hopes
His lowest ebb came when he spent eight years in prison, unjustly convicted of second degree murder, through a bizarre series of circumstances. He's never been the same since.
High Hopes
He's delighted to have two new young friends to impress and looks forward to teaching them the ways of the world.
Psychologically...
He's a hypochondriac and his time in prison has made him agoraphobic too.
He also has big dreams of making a fortune on the stock market and "gets the Financial Times regular", as he says.
The actor
Fagin is played by Robert Blythe, who has appeared on TV in a range of programmes from BBC Wales drama series The Lifeboat to The Bill, Mortimer's Law and Boon. His stage credits include roles at Theatr Clwyd and in the West End, and he has appeared in several feature films.
