Brian tells Agnes that he has arranged a visit to a car sale in Manchester. Jenny calls at the house to collect some clothes. She tells her distraught husband that the decision is the right one for both of them.

Brian has taken Wendy to see her mother. Jenny calls at Agnes Rees' flat. They again discuss Dic's disappearance.

Agnes calls to see Arwyn. He tells her that he is really missing Jenny and that he finds it difficult to live alone. On the way back from visiting Wendy's mother Brian is sure that he has been caught speeding. He thinks that he is in danger of losing his licence.
