Episode 1
Arwyn Saunders and his wife Jenny have been on holiday in Florida. They are about to check in for their flight home. Meanwhile at Brynaber Hospital, Agnes the ward sister is having an informal chat with the new young doctor Richard Allen. Back at the check-in the queue is taxing Arwyn's patience.

Episode 2
The passports were eventually found but not without giving Arwyn an opportunity to say to his wife: Ti'n anobeithiol, ti'n waeth na anobeithiol. You're hopeless, you're worse than hopeless. Matters don't improve during the flight home. At the hospital Wendy Keating a young nurse has her first encounter with Richard the handsome young doctor. Meanwhile 36,000 feet over the Atlantic, Arwyn Saunders is fast asleep.

Episode 3
Arwyn's behaviour prompted Jenny to tell Arwyn: mae gen ti'r knack o sbwylio bob dim mewn eiliad, ti wedi sbwylio'r cwbwl - You have the knack of spoiling everything in a second, you've spoilt everything. It's Saturday night and Wendy Keating is about to go off duty. Agnes the Ward Sister approaches her.
